§ Accessibility
Accessibility Statement.
This website should be usable by everyone — including people with limited vision, hearing or mobility, and people using a screen reader, a keyboard or strong magnification. It follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What the site offers
Two controls sit at the top right of the header, deliberately without a menu around them — someone who needs larger text may not be able to read a menu in order to find the setting in the first place:
- Magnifier: each press enlarges the text — 150 %, 200 %, then back to normal. The current level is shown as a number on the control. From 150 % the headings also switch to a more legible typeface and the navigation moves into the large menu.
- Half-filled circle: each press switches between high contrast (pure white on black), a colour-vision mode, and the normal display. In both modes every link is additionally underlined — colour alone must never carry meaning.
After each press the new setting appears in the centre of the screen and is announced to screen readers at the same time. The same controls are available in words in the menu under “Display”, together with a line stating what is currently set.
In addition:
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to content” link
- The menu and the image viewer hold focus while they are open and return it to the element they were opened from
- Collapsed sections are genuinely closed for screen readers, not merely hidden from the eye
- Both films can be paused; if “reduce motion” is set in the operating system, they do not start by themselves at all
- Descriptive alternative text for every image
- Structure through headings and named navigation regions
- Every control is at least 44 × 44 pixels
State of conformance
In our assessment the website is largely accessible. It was tested both automatically and by hand: keyboard operation, screen-reader order, magnification to 150 and 200 per cent, and screen widths from 320 to 1440 pixels.
Text contrast was calculated across every text element on the site. In the normal display the weakest measured value is 6.6 : 1; in high-contrast mode it is 16.8 : 1. The requirement is 4.5 : 1.
Known limitations: the two films have no captions. They run silently, contain no spoken language and carry no information that is not also in the text; their description is in the alternative text. Linked third-party services lie outside this website and therefore outside our control.
